Dammam, Saudi Arabia

His Royal Highness Prince
Mohammed Bin Fahad Bin Abdulaziz
Dammam is an important Saudi port on the Arab Gulf. It has expanded to the city limits of two other modern towns, Al-Khobar and Dhahran. The transformation of the Dammam-Dhahran-Al-Khobar triangle in the Eastern Province was launched with the discovery of oil in commercial quantities in Saudi Arabia. The Eastern Province sits atop one of the largest fields in the world.
The population of Dammam is greater than one million people. The most important features of the city include the King Fahd International Airport, King Fahad Park, the Coastal Sport Centre, and Half Moon Beach.
Economic Development in the Eastern Province has been driven for decades by the phenomenal success of the management of its oil industry. Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil company, headquartered in Dhahran operates the Kingdom's oil and gas exploration, production and distribution.
